Can I privately test a ValueServer before I purchase?
We'd love to take the opportunity to show you what we can provide to you if you become a GatewayGaming customer - if you'd like to arrange a test server for up to 24 hours, simply drop us an e-mail or catch us on one of our live support methods (such as IRC. MSN or Phone) to have a test server arranged. Plus, if you decide you want to order with GatewayGaming - you get to keep the very same server you tested!
What other features can I expect from a ValueServer?
The above list is only a summary of some of the features and freebies we supply with our ValueServers. All Half-Life and Source based games come with a free SourceTV or Half-Life TV server - so you can spectate and record matches/games. All games are also supported with free URL redirection, so that custom content can be quickly distributed to your players connecting to the server - reducing connection and download times considerably. All services come with unlimited diskspace for modifications, maps and configs - meaning you can upload as much custom content as you wish!
What tickrate or FPS do the Counter-Strike game servers run at?
Half-Life modifications (e.g. Counter-Strike 1.6 or Condition Zero) run at a stable 512 ticrate at 512 FPS (this is consistent, to provide the smoothest possible game play). The Source based games (e.g. Counter-Strike Source or Day of Defeat Source) run at 66 ticrate at 512 FPS. For a small price, Source servers can be upgraded to 75 tickrate - please contact our sales team for information. If you're after something with a little bit more of a punch, checkout our X4 range of game servers (1300 ticrate for HL and 100 tickrate for Source).
